There's something about lilac that just feels like spring. It's probably the softness of the color that is so refreshing after a stronger and darker winter palette.
Here are some of my favorite ways to bring it into your wardrobe:
1. ME+EM has just arrived on Madison Avenue. This London brand is one of my favorites. I love this layered look of lilac under a stone jacket. Add in the white pants -- and I'm all in. The cashmere here is a hooded vest (there is also a regular hoodie option).
2. For a much more affordable option, I found this sweater on amazon. It's cozy (cotton and polyester blend).
3. The lilac looks great under navy.
Here I have on my Coat from iBLUES (a division of Max Mara). It feels the same as their main line but much more reasonable. I bought this last summer when I was in Italy for Matthew and Lauren's wedding. They don't have it anymore -- but you get the idea. The lilac will pop underneath any navy coat.
